The most common cause of overheating in a properly functioning cooling system is trapped air.

Step：
1. Install this item onto your vehicle.
2. Fill the cooling system with the required ratio of Antifreeze/Coolant and Water (Most climates a 50/50 mix is sufficient). More Antifreeze/Coolant is not necessarily better!
3. Bring the engine up to operating temperature with the heater on full.
4. Carefully open the item valve until you no longer see air bubbles, just a constant flow of liquid then close.
5. Run engine at approximately 2500 RPM for 2-3 minutes.
6. Carefully open the item valve until you no longer see air bubbles, just a constant flow of liquid then close.
7. Drive vehicle for 2-3 miles keeping an eye on the temperature gauge. It is not uncommon to see fluctuation in the temperature. Carefully open the item  valve, if no air purges from the item just liquid your done.
If you still have some air purging from the system repeat step 7.
If your not sure of the size of the radiator hose on your vehicle:
With the engine off and cold remove the top radiator hose from the radiator and measure the inside width (Straight across ). Slightly larger or smaller is ok , if your heater core hoses are flexible and accessible then this is the one for you.
Typically the heater core is the highest point in the cooling system so it's the best point to purge the air.
