    So exactly when was this old thimble made and given to a potential buyer of shoes? No date for sure, but the "BILLIKEN" has been around a really long time. So unless someone helps me date it, my guess is 1920's to the 1950's. It was found tucked away in an old sewing basket with other 1920's sewing items. However that does not mean everything in that basket was put there the same year, it just means it's been around a long time. Waiting to be sold on Ebay. (DOWNSIZING STINKS) I've had it in with my collection of "BILLIKEN" cast iron banks, but it's time to let go. Regular size thimble, nothing exciting except that hard to find advertisement. It does show a bit of age and is not perfectly round on the opening. That should show in the photos, but it still fits a finger, and has no holes or any damage that I can see. it will be SUPER packed in a box! There are not a lot of "BILLIKEN SHOES" advertising items are around anymore, most are in museums or collections.***** Why the .00 postage? Ebay is why!
